International Action Partners

For those of you who are working in a bottom-up world, who are community-based in your approach to change, Taking Root can illuminate, challenge, and inspire. In fact, a holistic, community-based approach to change is integral to a sustainable future.

This is exactly why we developed the new multi-language international edition DVDs. Communities can learn about Wangari’s life and Green Belt Movement methods in their own languages and be inspired to take actions to address their local environmental issues in a holistic way.

Our International Action Partnerships provide copies of Taking Root (in the appropriate languages) and an International Action Guide to grassroots organizations. Partnerships are focused on areas of the world where communities are facing land grabbing and extraction of natural resources without regard for local rights, cultures, and sustainability. International partners can connect with each other for mutual learning and support about using the film for their own community efforts.

We welcome your questions and suggestions about international use to support environmental activism. Email us!

If you initiate activities as a result of seeing our film, be sure to let us know! Then add your photos to Facebook page or email us your photos.
